February 28 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm UTC-4

Register to attend here!

Join Dr. Yvonne Lozano, Assistant Dean, Department of Health Sciences at The University of Arizona Global Campus, for her presentation Nurturing Success: The Vital Role of Faculty Wellness in the Virtual Classroom.

In the virtual classroom, faculty wellness is essential for promoting student success. When instructors prioritize their own well-being in addition to the support of their college or university, they can create an environment that fosters emotional support, engagement, effective communication, adaptability, role modeling healthy habits, and supports both student and their own mental health. These factors work together to cultivate a positive learning experience and enhance students’ chances of success in the virtual classroom setting.

By the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Explore how prioritizing faculty well-being contributes to creating an environment of emotional support for students.
  • Connect how faculty wellness enhances adaptability and flexibility, allowing for seamless adjustments to unexpected challenges or changes.
  • Discover insights into supporting both student and faculty mental health within the virtual classroom setting.
