Description
Instructors and academic support staff, such as instructional designers and educational developers, collaborate in various ways. The context of the work shapes the scope, expectations, and time commitment involved. Course designs, one-time consultations, and workshops each require different approaches and levels of partnership.
In this session, participants will explore the differences between these collaboration models, the responsibilities held by instructors and staff in each, and how to maximize these opportunities to support effective teaching and learning.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Compare and contrast consultations, course designs, and workshops.
- Identify key responsibilities for instructors and academic support staff in each type of collaboration.
- Develop strategies to maximize the impact of instructional support partnerships.
