Sarah Watson has been a technical college Social Science educator for 20 years. She has a
B.A. in economics from North Central College, an M.A. in Economics from UW-Milwaukee, an
M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology from Western Illinois University, and an M.A. in
Sociology from Arizona State University. She currently teaches at Northcentral Technical
College in sociology, economics, political science, and critical thinking.
In her role, she is first at implementing new technologies to enhance distance learning for our
learners. Currently, she works as a faculty coach for her department of 20 colleagues. She is
charged with helping with instructional design and incorporating AI ethically into courses. Sarah
has been teaching virtual/online self-paced courses for the last 10 years, incorporating unique
ways of engaging learners and creating a community.
In her spare time, Sarah is a fur mom to two dogs, serves on the City Council of Wausau WI,
and is a 200-hour yoga teacher for the community.
