Kanessa Miller Doss

Dr. Kanessa Miller Doss, Ph.D. from Auburn University, Alabama, is a former high school biology
teacher who began her career in higher education and teaching online more than a decade ago.
Her current research interests include social-emotional functioning with an emphasis on school/college campus violence, bullying, school psychology advocacy, youth suicide, and accessibility issues. Dr. Doss is the Coordinator of the Troy University general psychology master’s degree, the College of Education Director of Operations on the Montgomery Campus, Co-Chair of the annual Alabama Higher Education Suicide Prevention Conference, and an aspiring children’s book author. She recently gave the Keynote Presentation, “Enhancing Executive Functioning Skills for Optimal Online Learning Success,” at ADEIL’s 2024 conference.
