32nd Annual Conference | Empowering Tomorrow

Join us for a showcase of cutting-edge strategies, research, learning designs, technology tools, and best practices for connecting with students at ADEIL’s one-day virtual conference on October 16, 2024, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (Eastern Time). We are excited to facilitate a knowledge sharing environment for peers to connect creatively and build their network of skilled professionals and educators!
There will be informative presentations for all levels (basic through advanced) of participants who are eager to learn from experts in distance education and independent (asynchronous) learning.
Register to Attend Early Bird Registration is open until September 30th ($25 USD). Your registration fee includes a 1-year membership to ADEIL and full access to all conference presentations and recordings. After September 30th, conference registration will be $30. Students can register for FREE (student registration does not include membership and conference recording access).
2024 Conference Keynote Speaker
Dr. Kanessa Miller Doss, PhD, ALPC, NCSP, NCC, Associate Professor, Troy University, Department of Psychology, College of Education Director of Operations—Montgomery Campus.
Dr. Kanessa Miller Doss is a former high school biology teacher who began her career in higher education and teaching online more than a decade ago. Her current research interests include social-emotional functioning with an emphasis on school/college campus violence, bullying, school psychology advocacy, youth suicide, and accessibility issues. Dr. Doss is the Coordinator of the Troy University general psychology master’s degree, Co-Chair of the annual Alabama Higher Education Suicide Prevention Conference, and an aspiring children’s book author.
Proposal Submissions

Session Format
Concurrent sessions: 30-minute presentation, including Q&A. Presenters have the option to include audience participation (group discussions, breakout rooms, chat, polls, etc.)

Embracing Neurodiversity: Celebrate the richness of neurodivergent thinking and explore inclusive pedagogical approaches that accommodate diverse learners, including persons with ADHD, autism, and other diverse and unique abilities.
Evolving with Technology: Explore the latest trends and innovations in education technology, from AI-driven learning platforms to virtual reality classrooms, and discover how they are transforming teaching and learning experiences.
Fostering Positive Campus Culture – student conduct and community building: Presentations on innovative approaches to promoting student conduct, community standards, and campus safety. Programs, initiatives, and interventions aimed at cultivating a positive learning climate, fostering respect, civility, and inclusivity, while preventing misconduct and harm.
